I hit a blueberry tipping point after stumbling across the Blueberry Blues band playing Blueberry Hill during the Machias Wild Blueberry festival, and despite being outlobstered by Felix’s three-a-day habit, herewith please find a pictoral paean to Maine’s obsession with Bitey, Snappy, Dennis and the countless other blighters I happily boiled alive.

It took a very long timeÒfour years, to be preciseÒbefore I sat down to ponder how to turn VHS tapes into digital files. Using more cables than Western Union, I finally turned a series of videos taken at our wedding into something vaguely watchable. It’s 15 minutes long and includes The Play. You’ll see some not-so-seemless editing as the color lurches from one person’s camera to another, for which you will have to forgive me; and because I still haven’t grasped the fundamentals of video compression, here are three versions to chose from, depending on the oomph of your computer and the speed of your Internet connection:
